How do you determine the fender’s performance and durability?
There are many suppliers on the market but the unscrupulous supplier’s fenders are taking advantage to undercut the reputable brand of fender manufacturer by supplying low quality and low cost. They can elicit cost saving to pass on the customer in two ways:
1) Using a high percentage of recycled rubbers within fender instead of virgin rubber.
2) Replacing carbon black fillers with non-reinforcing fillers.
The recommended test to evaluate the quality of fender, based on 20-50 grams sample can be conducted through a test known as TGA testing (Thermogravimetric Analysis). The testing can be executed by 3rd party laboratories.
